Over the past fifteen years, our past and present Invincibles members have raised the bar to some incredible heights, particularly when it comes to their golfing ability and in the way they represent their clubs, the Sunshine Coast and Queensland at not only a State, but also at an International level, which means that it is very difficult to…………

To keep up to date with our members movements and achievements, Will Martell (main photo) was given the enormous honour of captaining the “Queensland Primary School at the National Titles” that was hosted by Newcastle G.C from the 1st to the 4th of November. That honour was brilliant in itself, but as captain, Will won the individual gross event with eight over for the two rounds after having to par his last three holes to win by one shot. This brilliant effort didn’t do a lot for dad’s (Brett’s) nerves.

Another fantastic achievement that slipped under the radar was Jesse Price – Connolly (Maroochy River – p2 below) writing his name into the record books by recording a “Hole in One” in their Saturday comp with the perfect six iron into the very challenging 120m par three fourth hole at Maroochy River G.C.

Whilst we are on fantastic achievements and “Better Than Your Best Performances” we would like to congratulate Sam Haines (p1 – below) who achieved a massive milestone when he went subpar for the first time after carding a two under par 70-62nett at the Titleist Two Day Junior Classic, hosted by Mount Coolum on the 11th and 12th of January.

The Tour would like to congratulate Darcy Habgood (Toowoomba City - p3 below) and Aneka Park (Caloundra - p4) for winning the 2016 Victorian Junior Masters Girls Teams Event.

Congratulations must also go to Jasmine O’Hara (Caboolture - p5 below) for becoming only the third person to hold The Invincibles Gold Cup and Matchplay Championship titles at the same time. Ryan Stephenson and Lochlan Coleborn (both from Mount Coolum) previously achieved this honour. To date Coleborn is the only person to go on and win The Invincibles “Grand Slam” which also includes their IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship.

As you can see and we believe most would agree, that it’s vitally important that we acknowledge the performances and achievements of our juniors, so if you are at an event and you witness something special unfold, please don’t let it go to waste (either let Graeme or Frank know on the day) or forward it to gmmiller@bigpond.com or text to 0417 783 848 because we would all like to enjoy moments where our friends and fellow team mates do something special!!!!
