For the first time in the fifteen-year history of The Invincibles IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship, torrential rain “some four inches in two hours” caused day one at Twin Waters Golf Club to be abandoned due to the course being…….

Deemed unplayable.

With the bunkers, fairways and greens being under water and with thunder storms, lighting and more rain predicted throughout the day, left the organisers no option than to abandon the opening round and declare the Championship a fifty-four-hole event.

The committee of The Invincibles Tour would like to thank the competitors and their families for their patience and understanding. Collectively we all wanted to see the day go ahead, but all agreed that the right decision was made to call off the day’s play.

The Invincibles Tour, their members and families, would like to thank Steve Hutchison (manager) and his great team at Twin Waters G.C for doing everything in their power to get us out on course, which was much appreciated.

As mention prior, the 2018 Invincibles IGA Masters Championship will be held over 54 holes, with Pelican Waters hosting round two, Monday the 1st of October, where we look forward to catching up with everyone to pursue a result and to see who’s going to be our masters Champions for 2018?

At this point, Pelican Waters Golf Club has advised that their course is playable (carts on paths) and they are looking forward to hosting round 2 of our Masters.

If we could please ask all contestants to keep a close eye on the Invincibles Website, just in case there are any changes in plan?
