After some six months in isolation due to the obvious. The feeling The Tour got was that everyone was thrilled to bits to catch up and get back out on course to do what we all love doing and that is to be involved in golf and catch up with friends at the beautifully presented Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort, where Liam Dawson (Caloundra) who defended his title and was really on fire when he blitzed the front nine with a birdie, birdie, birdie, par, birdie, bogie, par, par, and birdie finish, four under.
Liam had another couple of birdies on the back nine “one a brilliant up and down from the bunker on 16” that was loudly applauded by everyone in the group.
When asked how he went? he replied, “what could have been” just a couple of unexplained errors in what would have otherwise been a day to remember, Liam said.
Liam's performance, where he not only defended his title, but bettered it by eight shots, which earned him The Invincibles Course Cup and an Invitation into the Gold Cup of Cups and Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championships, that will be held from the 27th to the 30th of September.
Caitlin Vanderkruk (Keperra) recorded the best round in the Girls division with a well put together 75, particularly over the back nine, where she finished with a one under thirty-five to take out the Girls Title and also an Invitation into The Invincibles Master’s Championship.
The Invincibles Inter-Club Team shield point went to: Caloundra earned four point for coming first with 223, Maroochy River was second on 227 to receive 2 points and Noosa Springs took out third place on 230 to collect 1 point.

All up, it would be fair to say by looking at the scores, that we need to get the rust off our games and back into the swing of things, and I suppose the same could be said for all of us, I think it’s going to take some time to get back into our routines, and try to make some sense in relation to what 2020 has brought to us, in the hope of getting back to some form of normality?
The Invincibles Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Mark Brady (Executive General Manager) and his staff for their enormously generous support.
It’s not by accident Noosa Springs has the reputation they have, it’s because they have an eye for detail and that shows in their Caterer’s, Bar & Office Staff, Ground Staff, and the team in the Pro Shop who had their course and facilities set up magnificently to host events, but most importantly, in the way they make everyone feel so welcome.
A huge thanks to Keith and Wade Stockill for their enormous support and feedback whilst Frank is working through some family health concerns.
Whilst saying that, Frank is at home doing an enormous amount of work to keep everything running smoothly and he would like to thank everyone that has asked after him!
A Fantastic Highlight on the day was have Grant Field (Head Coach Golf Queensland) and Steve Hutchison (PGA – Manager at Twin Waters) with their sons Cooper and Tom which we hope they will all enjoy the challenges that The Invincibles Tour offers!
Other highlights included: Kelly Maddison up and down on 8 for par, James Riseley’s tee shot on 16 for a tap in par, Rhys Vanderkruk recording two birdies in his round, Caitlyn Wheatley’s tee shot hitting the flag on 4, Matthys Visser’s tee shot on 8, Conner Clarke’s four metre putt on 6, Ionna Muir’s tee shot on eight that came so close to a hole in one that finished just centimetre’s past the hole for a tap in birdie, Alex Wheatley holing out on the 5th from the bunker for birdie, Ben Duncombe’s hole out on 7 for par, Caitlin Vanderkruk’s 5m and 8m putts on both 10 & 12 for birdies and Dhiya Rampersad’s tee shot on sixteen to within sixty centimetre’s to set up her birdie, which were just a few of the many, many highlights during the day!

The Invincibles Tour would like to thank all our juniors, parents, and their families for making The Tour what it is, particularly during these trying times.
From an Invincibles perspective: we know we speak for our members and their families, when we extend a special thanks and our appreciation to our sponsors and supporters (below) for the massive input and support they give to Junior Golf and The Invincibles Tour.
Their support helps us enormously with the promotion and development of Junior Golf on the Sunshine Coast which is something we don’t take for granted and very much appreciate.....
We would also like to make special mention of The Invincibles Committee who do an excellent job behind the scenes to make sure The Tour runs well, in particular Joss Quirk, Frank Schmidt, and Neil Charkow. They give their time so willingly to help at events, behind the scenes or with The Invincibles website in the hope of making sure that your golfing experience is just that much more enjoyable.
