The Invincibles Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to the great team at Gunabul, particularly Vicki Millard (Manager) and Peter & Robyn Snelling (Owners - Curator) for their support and fantastic country hospitality.
The Gunabul Homestead is truly a beautiful place to visit and well worthy of a stay over the weekend (in their accommodation) to make the most of what they have to offer.
The Tour would also like to pass on our thanks and appreciation to the team in the Pro Shop (Ellesha Michie) and Max (Curator) for presenting their course and facilities in magnificent condition, but most importantly, for making everyone feel so welcome.
If you would like to book a game at the picturesque and very challenging Gunabul Par 3 Golf Course, or find out more about this beautiful old homestead, then please click on: http://www.gunabul.com.au/golf-course/
For those that joined “The Invincible Tour” as they headed up the Bruce Highway to contest the Gunabul Junior Classic, would appreciate, just how much fun and how enjoyable our great game can be, particularly when it comes to testing your skills and short game against one of Queensland’s most challenging and beautifully presented par 3 layouts, that was……..
Set up in magnificent condition for everyone to give it their best shot.
Even though the weather forecast wasn’t looking encouraging throughout the week, it all turned around heading into the weekend, when, after the heavy fog burned off to expose what was an absolutely picture perfect day for everyone to make the most of their good fortune.
For those that came to play, certainly made the most of the day, particularly Rebecca O’Neill (Gympie) who not only defended her title, but also set a new Girls Invincibles Course Record in the process.
Both Rebecca and George Giblett (Cooroy) put in excellent performances to win with rounds of 58 and 57 respectively.
Once again, it was great to see a few of our intermediate players take up the offer and challenge to compete in the Intermediate division, where Lochlan Coleborn and T.J King put in solid performances to finish with scores of 54 and 58 respectively.
It is absolutely fantastic to see our older members putting back into the game by supporting, encouraging, and nurturing the next generation coming through. (well done men, it’s much appreciated)
The Invincibles Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to the great team at Gunabul, particularly Vicki Millard (Manager) and Peter & Robyn Snelling (Owners - Curator) and Ellesha Michie (organiser) for hosting what was another excellent day out and for making everyone feel so welcome.
Thanks, and congratulations to Peter & Max for having their course in unbelievable condition, particularly given the weather we had leading into their classic, it was a credit to you both!
Many thanks also to Ron & Jan Michie (p6 below) for doing a brilliant job with the BBQ as the photos would suggest, and to Tom & Craig from Orbiting Star Productions.
And as always; thanks a million Frank (p7 below) for all your hard work and support, it is very much appreciated by everyone.
