If you’re in Queensland on holidays or a local that loves their golf, then you really can’t go past the beautifully presented and friendly hospitality that Caloundra Golf Club is known for.

Caloundra is the gateway to the beautiful and world renowned Sunshine Coast – Queensland, where you have everything on offer, from the Australian Zoo in the Glass House Mountains, to the hinterland on the Great Dividing Range, that takes in breath taking views that overlook the valley down to Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland through to Maroochydore, Coolum, and the world-renowned Noosa beaches.

The Invincibles Tour on behalf of their members and junior golfers throughout South East Queensland, would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Jason Looker (Secretary Manager) and the great team at their beautifully presented Golf Club.

The Tour would also like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to the great team in the Pro Shop, their bar staff, caterers, and ground staff for presenting their course and facilities in magnificent condition, but most importantly, for making everyone feel so welcome.

If you haven’t visited the very beautiful Caloundra Golf Club (Queensland - Australia) or enjoyed a round of golf on their challenging par 71 layout that's situated a comfortable forty-five drive North of Brisbane, then you are missing out on one of Queensland’s and Sunshine Coasts hidden treasures.

If you’re a keen golfer, then it’s fair to say that life doesn’t get any better, than being outdoors in magnificent conditions, on a beautifully presented golf course whilst enjoying the company of family and friends, and that’s just what our juniors and their families experienced on Sunday whilst contesting the 2018 Caloundra Junior Classic. Particularly for Justice Bosio (Caboolture) who won the girls division and Teeren Kannan (Pelican Waters - main photo) who recorded his best ever performance…..

To win the boys division with a one under par 70, from Yevin Samararatne (Windaroo Lakes) who carded a 74.

Justice Bosio (p1 below) won the girls division with a hard fought 78, it’s not quite the score that that I was after, but I will take the win, Justice said.

The Invincibles Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Jason Looker (Manager) for the effort he puts into promoting junior golf.

Caloundra, like most clubs on the Sunny Coast, really do support and appreciate The Invincibles Tour, so on behalf of our juniors and their families, we would like to say thanks and extend our appreciation to everyone at Caloundra, from the team in the office, to Tom Arnott (Head Professional - Pro Shop), their ground staff, caterers, and bar staff for putting on a great day, but

most importantly, for making everyone feel so welcome.

One very lucky junior, Kynan Allen (Noosa – p4 below) was thrilled to bits to win the fantastic “X-BOX ONE S” just for participating in the day and being fortunate enough to have his card drawn out in the lucky card draw. For the second week in a row, it was the second card drawn, given you had to be present to receive the prize?

Teeren Kannan (Pelican Waters - P1 below) qualified for The Invincibles 2018 Invincibles IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship, that will be hosted by the very generous and supportive Twin Waters, Pelican Waters, Peregian Golf Course, and Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort during the last week of the September School holidays (September 30th to the 3rd October). For the second week in a row, no girl qualified?

James Riseley (Pelican Waters p-3 above) won The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Course Cup with 65 nett, and by doing so, qualified for the Sunshine Coast Gold Cup of Cups Championship that will be hosted by Pelican Waters (Sunday November 25) followed immediately by The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner, where we would like to think that all Gold Cup contestants would make themselves available?

The Invincibles Inter – Club Team Shield points for round 7 are as follows: Pelican Waters Golf Club earned the four points for winning, Maroochy River Golf Club earned two points for second, with Noosa Golf Club taking out one point for third.

Highlights on the day included: Teeren Kannan and James Riseley’s “Better Than Their Best Performance’s” Justice Bosio’s brilliant tee shot on 9, that finished an agonising 10cm’s short of a Hole in One, Yevin Samararatne’s brilliant up and down on thirteen for birdie, Olly Merritt’s tee shot and putt for birdie on 15, Jack Elsley’s approach to thirteen to set up his birdie, and Sophie Thomsen’s up and down from the bunker on 9 to salvage her par, that included a 24 foot putt, which were brilliant and just a few of the many highlights during the day…….

Once again, The Invincibles Tour would like to thank Chantelle Dyal for doing the scoring for the 5 and 9 holler’s, and Frank Schmidt for all the hard work he puts into doing the scoring and stats, which is always very much appreciated.

The Invincibles Tour would also like to thank and make special mention of Callaway Australia, Drummond Golf Maroochydore, and Sunshine Coast Council for very generously supporting The Invincibles Tour.
