If you haven’t visited the reformed and beautifully presented Peregian Golf Course (Queensland - Australia) or enjoyed a round of golf on their challenging par 72 layout, that's situated a comfortable sixty-five-minute drive North of Brisbane, then you are really missing out on one of Queensland’s and the Sunshine Coasts most enjoyable experiences. Well what a difference a year makes, from this time last year, where we were enormously concerned with bush fires in golfing the Sunshine Coast, to this year where we were treated to a couple of short bursts of rain that certainly didn’t stop, nor deter Taj Egea (Brookwater) and Yuuki Takada (Southport) from winning the final Invincibles Tour event for 2020 with rounds of 75 and 76, respectively.

Despite what we have gone through over the past fourteen months, we don’t believe that there is any better place in the world to live than here on the Sunshine Coast, It’s just magical and something that we should never take for granted.

The Invincibles Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to the team at Noosa, particularly Allen Harris (Manager) and Rob Upham (Captain) along with Peter for hosting what was another great Tour event.

The Tour would also like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the team in the office, their ground staff, caterers, pro shop (Scott) and bar staff for not only putting on a great day, but most importantly, like most clubs, for making everyone feel so welcome.

Taj Egea (Brookwater – p1 below) and Yuuki Takada (Southport p -2) qualified for The Invincibles 2021 IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship, that will be hosted by the very generous and supportive Twin Waters, Peregian Golf Course, Pelican Waters, and Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort during the last week of the September School holidays (Sunday the 26th to Wednesday the 29th of September - TBC).

Koa Wood (Noosa Springs – p3 below) won The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Course Cup with his brilliant 69 nett. Given that Koa had already qualified, meant that Jaxon Smith (Noosa p4) qualified for the Gold Cup of Cups Championship that will be hosted by Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort, Sunday the 29th of November, followed immediately by The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner which all participants of the Gold Cup of Cups are expected to participate in.

Maroochy River has won The Invincibles Inter – Club Team Shield for the third straight year, with 14 points from Noosa Springs and Noosa, who both finished on 8 points.

Full results can be found on The Invincibles App!

Highlights on the day included: Taj Egea’s approach to the 9th that hit the pin and stopped within mm’s of the cup, Ben Duncombe’s tee shot and four metre putt on 12 for birdie, Bronson White’s tee shot on the same hole, along with Samara Dryden’s approach to 12 was just magical and Alfie Wards approach to 18 to set up one of his four birdies and an even par over the back nine, which were just a few of the many highlights during what was a magical day at Noosa.

If you see or hear of anything special happening at one of our Invincibles events (or any event for that matter) please don’t sit on it, forward them through via text to Graeme so we can all enjoy the moment?

The Invincibles Tour on behalf of everyone that contests junior events, would like to thank Frank Schmidt and Neil Charkow for all the hard work and effort they put into scoring, stats, and our website to help make sure everyone is kept up to date with what’s happening on Tour, which is always very much appreciated.

A special mention of Callaway Australia for very generously supporting The Invincibles Tour on the day and throughout the year.

The winner of the 9-hole division went to Phoenix Gaulke (Redcliffe)

It was fantastic to see such a large turnout in the 9-hole division, which one would hope is a good sign of things to come?

Full Results and Gallery will follow, so please keep an eye on the “Latest News / Events” on The Invincibles Website.

The Tour would like to invite you to join them at their upcoming Invincibles Presentation Dinner, that will be hosted by Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort, Sunday the 29th of November, immediately following the 2020 Gold Cup of Cups Championship.

From an Invincibles perspective: we know we speak for our members and their families, when we extend a special thanks and our appreciation to our sponsors and supporters (below) for the massive input and support they give to Junior Golf and The Invincibles Tour.

invincibles supporters 2017

Their support helps us enormously with the promotion and development of Junior Golf on the Sunshine Coast which is something we don’t take for granted and very much appreciate.....

We would also like to make special mention of The Invincibles Committee who do an excellent job behind the scenes to make sure The Tour runs well, in particular Joss Quirk, Frank Schmidt, and Neil Charkow. They give their time so willingly to help at events, behind the scenes or with The Invincibles website in the hope of making sure that your golfing experience is just that much more enjoyable.
