If you’re in Queensland on holidays or a local that loves their golf, beaches, restaurants or just relaxing with friends, then you really can’t go past the beautifully presented and friendly hospitality that Peregian Golf Course and the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

The Peregian Golf Course is situated five minutes inland from Coolum, ten minutes from Noosa and a casual ten-minute drive from the Sunshine Coast Airport.

As is the case with all Sunshine Coast Courses, Peregian Golf Course is part of the gateway to the beautiful, world-renowned Sunshine Coast – Queensland, where you have everything on offer, from Australian Zoo in the Glass House Mountains, to the hinterland on the Great Dividing Range that overlooks the Sunshine Coast, where you will find Underwater World, Eumundi Markets, Aussie World, the Big Cart Track and a coastline that boasts some of the world’s best beaches in Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland through to Maroochydore, Coolum, and the world-renowned Noosa beaches.

The Invincibles Tour on behalf of their members and junior golfers throughout South East Queensland, would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Ian Denny (owner) and his great team at their beautifully presented Golf Course.

The Tour would also like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to the great team in the Pro Shop (Dan Morrison – Head Professional) their bar staff, caterers, and ground staff for presenting their course and facilities in magnificent condition, but most importantly, for making everyone feel so welcome.

If you haven’t visited the reformed and beautifully presented Peregian Golf Course (Queensland - Australia) or enjoyed a round of golf on their challenging par 72 layout, that's situated a comfortable sixty-five-minute drive North of Brisbane, then you are really missing out on one of Queensland’s and the Sunshine Coasts most enjoyable experiences.

Even though the day was a beautiful sunny day, where Peregian had their course and facilities set up magnificently to host their Junior Classic, the same can’t be said for the severe wind that really tested everyone’s resolve and patience, particularly over the front nine, but despite the challenges that brought to the day, our juniors really buckled down and took up the Challenge!

Particularly for Ionna Muir (Maroochy River) and Jordy McGarry (Pacific) who worked hard against the tough conditions to record wins with rounds of 80 and 74, respectively.

It looked at one stage as though we were going to have a three way play-off in both the boys division 1 and a four way play-off in the girls division, but with the sun sinking over the horizon, that was going to be impossible and as you all know, The Invincibles Tour prefers play-offs whenever and wherever possible!

The Tour would like to congratulate both Jordy McGarry (Pacific) and Tiyara Samararatne (Windaroo Lakes p2-3 below) for their performances in qualifying for The Invincibles IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championships, that will be hosted by Peregian Golf Course, Twin Waters, Pelican Waters and Noosa Golf & Spa Resort from the 27th to the 30th of September.

Ellianna MacRae (Maroochy River p4) won The Invincibles Course Cup with 67 nett, which in turn qualified her for their Gold Cup of Cups Championship, that will be hosted by the magnificently manicured Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort, Sunday the 29th of November, followed immediately by The Invincibles Presentation Dinner “Covid-19 conditions permitting”.

It is sad, but once again we had a lower nett score recorded, but that individual was not an Invincibles members so not eligible to win the Course Cup or qualify for the Gold Cup of Cups, which is enormously sad for everyone involved.

If you wish to become a member of the tour, it is as simple as clicking on the link below and follow the instructions……

The Invincibles Inter-Club Team shield points went to Noosa who earned four point for coming first with 220, Maroochy River was second on 222 to receive 2 points and Noosa Springs came in in third place on 224 to collect 1 point.

The Invincibles Tour on behalf of their members, families and guests, would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Daniel Morrison (Director of Golf) and Jacob, Daniel, Lara and Kirby who have always been enormously generous supporters of The Invincibles Tour, and go out of their way where ever possible to make sure our Tour and junior golf in general is given every opportunity to thrive and we would like to thank them for having their course and facilities set up magnificently to host their Classic, but most importantly, in the way they made everyone feel so welcome.

An extra and very much appreciated bonus during the day, was our Juniors and their parents being invited to share in the sausage sizzle and a Powerade whilst going from the 9th to the 10th which was a fantastic initiative from the team at Peregian.

It is always extremely rewarding to witness our past and present members giving back to the game, by mentoring and encouraging our younger members that are just starting out and that was once again on display on Sunday, as newly crowned Junior and Senior Queensland Golf “Female Amateur Player of the Year” recipient Cassie Porter came along to caddie for Sami Dryden (p1 below) which was a buzz for everyone that took part in Peregians Classic.
