Thanks to the enormous generosity and support from Events Queensland, Peter Owen (Sunshine Coast Daily), the Sunshine Coast Council and TRP Sports, 2012 finished on a high for nine of our incredibly lucky Invincibles members and their parents which included

Kodie and Marcus Koski (Caloundra), Samantha and Paul Foley (Coolangatta / Tweed), Shae Wools – Cobb and William White (Horton Park) and Aneka Park Caloundra) when they were informed at The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner (hosted by Pelican Waters) that they were to be special guests of Events Queensland to The Dinner with the Stars “which is the opening ceremony of the Australian PGA Championship” hosted by the Palmer Coolum Resort.

Given that most of our Invincibles members were competing at the Queensland Junior Amateur Championships (Indooroopilly) it was decided by committee “with the fantastic support from Andrew - Starlight Limousines” that our lucky members would be picked up from Indooroopilly Golf Club (after their second rounds) in an eleven seat stretch limousine and chauffer driven to Palmer Coolum Resort to savour the big occasion whilst they rubbed shoulders and interacted with some of the world’s greatest golfers, sporting champions, corporate men and women and some of Australia’s finest entertainers, and we believe, our very lucky group of Invincibles members had an absolute ball and made the most of what was an unbelievable opportunity.

As is always the case; it was fantastic to witness our very talented squad of Invincibles members taking to the world stage, soaking up the atmosphere and getting to learn first hand what is required and expected from Touring Professionals, how they handle big occasions and how they are treated at these very exciting Gala Events.

To see our squad of Invincibles members interacting with legends of Australian Sport such as Greg Norman, Robert Allenby, John Senden and football legends Karmichael Hunt and Cameron Smith along with Internationals like British Open Champion Daren Clarke was a huge buzz for everyone and one that we hope will give our members a greater insight into the path they hope to travel if they wish to make it as Touring Pro?

The Invincibles Tour would like to thank our professional golfers, celebrities, PGA of Australia, Golf Australia, the corporate sector and the media for being so generous with their time and for taking the opportunity to make our juniors feel welcome on such a big occasion.

The Committee of The Invincibles Tour would also like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Events Queensland, Peter Owen (Sunshine Coast Daily), Sunshine Coast Council and Rosanne Goddard (TRP Sports) for extending this enormously exciting invitation to Marshan, myself and to seven of our very privileged Invincibles members; it was very much appreciated and totally unexpected, but once again, it just goes to reinforce to our members how people view The Invincibles Tour, their junior golf program and appreciate the hard work and effort that's going into promoting and developing junior golf on the Sunshine Coast!!!
