Over the proceeding days leading into the Bribie Island Junior Open, South East Queensland received what everyone would consider “much needed rain” that carried into the first few holes on Sunday, which wasn’t enough to deter anyone, given that it turned into the perfect day for golf, low 20’s, sunny and a bit breezy over the closing holes, where Isabelle Simpson (Indooroopilly) and Bailey Arnott (Royal Queensland - pictured) made the most of the conditions to put together two…………
Brilliant sub-par rounds of two under par respectively, to win the Bribie Island Junior Open for 2018.
The Tour would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to Bribie Island Golf Club, Brayden and Allison Campbell and the team in the Pro Shop (many thanks for the loan of a cart) and to Bribie’s bar staff, caterers, and ground staff for presenting their course and facilities in magnificent condition, and for making everyone feel welcome.
On a sad note: The Invincibles Tour would like to acknowledge and thank Zac Maxwell (Virginia - p4 below) for the many years that he has committed to The Tour, given that the Bribie Junior Open is his last junior event (on Tour) before he turns eighteen on Monday the 26th of February.
“Zac, you will always be part of The Invincibles Family” and we hope you have a great birthday.
Both Isabelle Simpson (Indooroopilly - p1 below) and Bailey Arnott (Royal Queensland – p2) qualified for The Invincibles 2018 IGA Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship, which will be hosted by the
very generous and supportive Twin Waters, Pelican Waters, Peregian Golf Course, and Noosa Springs Golf Resorts during the last week of the September School holidays (30th of September to the 3rd of October 2018).
For the record: Bailey lowered his own boys course record by two shots, as did Isabelle Simpson, who broke the girls mark by the same margin.
Joshua Mitchell (Keperra - p3 above) won The Invincibles Sunshine Coast Course Cup and by doing so, qualified for the Sunshine Coast Gold Cup of Cups Championship which will be hosted by Pelican Waters Golf Club (Sunday November 25) followed immediately by The Invincibles Annual Junior Presentation Dinner!
