On what was a magical day for golf “with the Noosa Triathlon peddling past in the background” the team at Noosa had their course and facilities set up magnificently to host their Junior Open, where Cassie Porter (Peregian Golf Course) even to her own lofty standards, admitted it was a workman like performance to take out the girl’s division with a 77 gross. The boy’s division saw a much tighter….
Affair, where Caleb Purdy (Royal Queensland) and Alec O’Brien (Noosa) forced the Championship into a Sudden Death Play-Off after finishing with one under par 71’s, which Alec won on the second play-off hole (9th) with a par. The inform George Giblett (Noosa) and Will Martell (Pelican Waters) came in with even par 72’s, with Yevin Samararatne (Windaroo Lakes) Sam Haines (Noosa Springs) and Cooper Clarke (Noosa) finishing on two over par 74’s.
The team at Noosa Golf Club should be applauded for the brilliant job they did in setting everything in place to host their Junior Open, their dams were full (which is always a great sign) the course was in magnificent condition, particularly the greens, which all added up to a great day out for everyone.
We keep saying that one of the great side benefits of The Invincibles Tour is the friendships, comradery, and sportsmanship that’s on display when our juniors and their families gather together at tour events which is fantastic to see.

particularly Allan Harris (Manager) and Rob Upham (Captain) for hosting what was another great day out.
The Tour would also like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the team in the office, their ground staff, caterers, Pro Shop and bar staff for not only putting on a great day, but most importantly, for making everyone feel so welcome.
