The Caboolture Junior Classic couldn’t have been played in better conditions “maybe a little hot for some” but the beautiful sea breeze, ice cold water & Water Melons, was just what the doctor ordered to take the edge off things, particularly for Sam Slater (Brisbane - pictured with Kerry Appleby - Sponsor) who had just come off a brilliant 5 under par win at the Titleist 2 Day Classic, to…..
On what were two magical days for our members to catch up with friends whilst celebrating the opening round of their 2018 season, which was certainly helped, by the Mount Coolum Golf Club and their great team who had their course and facilities in magnificent condition to host the opening round “the Golf Queensland Titleist 2 Day Summer Classic” where Jade Longstaff (Redcliffe) and Samuel Slater (Brisbane - pictured) put in excellent performances to win the overall Classic Titles with combined ….
As if 2017 wasn’t already an incredibly exciting year for our past and present Invincibles members (as witnessed at their Presentation Dinner - link below) but just when you thought things couldn’t get any better in 2017, Karis Davidson (Sanctuary Cove – main photo) achieved her dream of turning professional, after going through qualifying school in Japan, where she competed in four events to………
A very happy “if not thrilled” Jayden Dyal (Caboolture - pictured) was over the moon after making the most of a perfect day at Twin Waters, that was set up in magnificent condition to win the coveted Invincibles Gold Cup of Cups Championship with a solid 68 nett. What made Jayden’s win that much more impressive, was that he qualified at the second last Tour event for 2017, at Noosa, and said he was going on to win the Golf Cup..... To add to Jayden’s unbelievable streak of good fortune, he went on to win……………..
A mix of Queensland’s finest juniors golfers, and their families gathered together at Twin Waters Golf Club to contest the running of the 2017 Ian Baker – Finch Junior Classic, on a day, that started out under threatening skies that eventually turned into what was the perfect day for golf, where Twin Waters had their course and facilities set up beautifully for everyone to test their game in what turned out to be an extremely exciting day, and we don’t believe…………
On what was a magical day for golf “with the Noosa Triathlon peddling past in the background” the team at Noosa had their course and facilities set up magnificently to host their Junior Open, where Cassie Porter (Peregian Golf Course) even to her own lofty standards, admitted it was a workman like performance to take out the girl’s division with a 77 gross. The boy’s division saw a much tighter….
After a year in the wilderness and "despite a little inclement weather" it was fantastic to see our juniors and their families walking the fairways of the newly formed “Peregian Golf Course” who had to work overtime given the conditions to host their inaugural Junior Classic, a Classic that saw Sarah Wilson (Pelican Waters) and Tyler Duncan (Redcliffe - pictured) make the most of the difficult conditions to record brilliant rounds of 74 and 67 respectively. Tyler’s…..
SHE puts it down to ‘staying in the bubble’. Her mum says she’s ‘focused’. But there must be more to it than that. No 15-year-old in recent history has accomplished the things that Peregian’s Cassie Porter has done in the past month. It culminated yesterday when Cassie strolled around the Noosa Springs golf course, carding a………….
After coming off what has been an incredible run of golf, that's seen Cassie Porter (Peregian Golf Course) win the Maroochy River Junior Open on September the 3rd with a brilliant four under par 68 (one off the course record) to them come from no-where in horrendous conditions to win the Katherine Kirk Classic with another outstanding 68, that means….
